An accused named Sangharsh Mhaske escaped police custody in Mumbai on Saturday morning, February 22. The 24-year-old, who was brought from Jalgaon district in Maharashtra, had been undergoing medical examination at the JJ Hospital in Mumbai and fled from the spot while under police custody. 

Mhaske was brought by the Pant Nagar police to the civic hospital in Mu3mbai and fled between 3 to 4 PM from the hospital's emergency ward. A case has been registered, and police have launched a search operation, said JJ Marg Police Station.
