The deceased, identified as Hanumanta Sridhar Prasad, 40, and Yamuna Sridhar Prasad, 45, lived in Mangal Vandan Society. They had accumulated a debt of ₹25 lakh and had been seeking financial help from colleagues and their elder brother. Police believe they died by suicide due to the financial burden.
Their home remained locked for over two weeks, raising suspicion among neighbors. On Monday, the landlord detected a foul smell and contacted the police. Officers entered the apartment using a duplicate key and found the bodies in a decomposed state.
