A massive fire broke out at Crystal Tower in Mumbai's Andheri East area on Tuesday, April 15. The building is located near the Western Express Highway. Firefighters are at the scene and working to douse the blaze in the afternoon's sweltering heat. However, there were no reports of injuries or casualties in the incident. Fire bridges, along with the local police, rushed to the spot and after receiving the distress call to Mumbai Fire Department blaze.

A video shared by the news agency IANS shows several vehicles, including cars, gutted by a fire, leading to huge losses to the owners. Huge black smoke clouds were also seen rising from the tower, which is located in the Azad Nagar area of Andheri. How fire broke out is still not clear and is a matter of investigation.

Another video shared by a citizen shows vehicular traffic jams on the Western Express Highway as a large crowd gathers on the bridge to witness the fire that broke out in Crystal Tower. Motorists are driving slowly to see the scene as smoke is visible from far away.

Earlier this month, a fire broke out on the terrace of Phoenix Mall in Kurla West area of Mumbai late in night. The incident was reported to fire bridge department at around 9.40 pm. Four fire engines rushed to the spot and finally doused the fire in 20 minutes.
"A level one fire was reported on the rooftop of Phoenix Mall on LBS Road opposite Kurla Fire Station," the Mumbai Fire Brigade stated.
