Mumbai Local Train Fight: Youth Stabs Passengers on Kalyan-Dadar Fast Local After Failing to Get Off

Passenger safety on Mumbai local trains has come under scrutiny again following a disturbing incident in Dombivli. A 19-year-old, Sheikh Zia Hussain from Mumbra, attacked three passengers with a knife on a moving train. The victims were injured but received first aid and were later discharged from the hospital. The Dombivli Railway Police have arrested Hussain and are conducting further investigations, raising concerns among commuters.

The attack occurred around 9:45 am on Wednesday on a train traveling from Kalyan to Mumbai. Hussain became agitated upon realizing that the train would not stop at Mumbra station. As he attempted to disembark at Dombivli but was unable to due to the crowd, an argument ensued with other passengers. In response to being confronted, Hussain pulled out a knife, injuring Akshay Wagh (25), Hemant Kankaria (45), and Rajesh Changlani (39). Passengers subdued Hussain and handed him over to the railway police.

A case has been registered against him at the Dombivli Railway Police Station. Officer Kiran Undere stated that the police acted swiftly upon receiving reports of the incident, leading to Hussain's detention and ongoing investigation.
