The Central Railway on Thursday announced a Mega Block for March 16. Sharing the local train updates, it said that Mega Block will be imposed on its suburban sections.
In an official release, the Central Railway said that it would carry out various engineering and maintenance works on March 16.
On UP and DOWN Fast Lines between Thane and Kalyan stations, the block will be imposed from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm.

In addition to their regular stops, Down Fast/Semi-Fast local services that leave from CSMT Mumbai between 09.34 am and 03.03 pm will be rerouted on the Down Slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations, stopping at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva stations. They will reach their destination ten minutes later than they were supposed to.
From 10.28 am to 03.40 pm, Up Fast/Semi-fast services departing Kalyan will be rerouted on the Up Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations, stopping at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations in addition to their respective halts. They will then reroute on the Up Fast line at Mulund station, arriving at their destination ten minutes later than planned.
The 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations would be used as a diversion for down mail/express trains departing from CSMT/Dadar.
The 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/Vikhroli stations would be used as a diversion for Up Mail/Express trains arriving at CSMT/Dadar.
The DOWN Harbour line services to Panvel/Belapur departing CSMT Mumbai from 9.45 am to 3.12 pm and the UP Harbour line services to CSMT Mumbai departing Panvel from 10.33 am to 3.49 pm will continue to be suspended.
Services on the UP Trans-Harbour line heading towards Thane from 11.02 am to 3.53 pm and the DOWN Trans-Harbour line heading towards Panvel from 10.01 am to 3.20 pm will continue to remain suspended.
