Mumbai Local Train Update: Western Railway Announces 3-Hour Jumbo Block Between Vasai Road and Vaitarna Stations; Check Details
The Western Railway (WR) has announced a 3-hour jumbo block for maintenance of track, signalling, and overhead equipment on April 18 and 19. The special midnight block will be held between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations on the UP fast line local from 11.50 pm to 2.50 am and on the Down fast line local from 1.30 am to 4.30 am on the interviewing nights of Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, April 20, 2025, there will be no block during the day hours in the suburban section of the Western Railway. Due to the block, Train number 19101 Virar-Bharuch MEMU will depart 10 minutes late and will depart from Virar at 04:45 instead of its scheduled departure of 04:35.
For the convenience of passengers and to meet the travel demand during the summer season, WR will run a special train between Mumbai Central and Rajkot.

WR also announced special train services for summer 2025 to accommodate passengers and meet travel demand. The express train will operate between Mumbai Central and Rajkot. Bookings for train numbers 09005 and 09006 will open on April 19, 2025, at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.
