An accused who managed to escape from police custody was arrested at Pawan Hans Airport. The accused, Saif Birabdul Khan, was involved in a molestation case registered at Juhu Police Station. On Saturday, the court had remanded him to police custody, but he escaped while being taken to the police lock-up.

According to reports, Juhu Police arrested Saif Birabdul Khan on Saturday in connection with a molestation case. After his arrest, he was produced before the Andheri court, which granted police custody for two days. While being escorted from the court to the Santa Cruz police lock-up, the accused complained of nausea to the police officers.

The police van was stopped near Vile Parle’s Pawan Hans Airport to allow him to step out and vomit. However, taking advantage of the situation, Saif suddenly pushed the police constables aside and fled towards the airport. He even jumped over the airport’s compound wall in an attempt to escape.

The police personnel immediately chased him, jumping over the wall themselves. After a brief chase, they managed to apprehend him. In the process, a police constable sustained minor injuries and was later treated at a hospital.

Following this incident, Juhu Police Station has registered another case against Saif for escaping from custody.
