Mumbai Police Conducts 'All-Out Operation', Arrests 12 Wanted Criminals

In a major crackdown on crime and illegal activities, the Mumbai Police conducted an ‘All-Out Operation’ from 11 PM on February 28, to 2:30 AM on March 1. The operation was executed successfully with the participation of senior officials, including Additional Commissioners of Police from all regional divisions, officers from the Special Branch and Security Department, Deputy Commissioners of Police, Senior Police Inspectors, and other police personnel.

During the operation, Mumbai Police carried out combing operations at 207 locations across the city, leading to the arrest of 12 wanted and absconding criminals. Additionally, action was taken against 54 individuals under Section 142 of the Mumbai Police Act. The police also detained 16 individuals for possession of illegal weapons and conducted raids at 14 locations involved in gambling and other unlawful activities. Furthermore, police teams executed 46 non-bailable warrants and 25 standing warrants, while 15 new cases related to drug trafficking were registered. Under Sections 120 and 122 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 56 suspects were booked, and to tighten security, 113 special nakabandi checkpoints were set up across the city.

Alongside crime control measures, the police also carried out an extensive vehicle-checking drive. During this drive, 6,901 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were inspected, and 1,891 vehicle owners faced action under the Motor Vehicles Act. Strict measures were taken against drunk driving, with 70 individuals being booked under Section 185 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The ‘All-Out Operation’ was conducted under the guidance of Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Special Police Commissioner Deven Bharti. Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Satyanarayan visited various police stations and checkpoints to oversee the operation and ensure its smooth execution.

According to Mumbai Police, the primary objective of this operation was to curb crime and crack down on illegal activities in the city. Officials have made it clear that similar operations will continue in the future to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of Mumbai’s citizens.
