The slabs of the second and fourth floors of a ground-plus-four-story building collapsed on Thursday morning in Grant Road. The Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, ambulance, and local ward officials promptly arrived and initiated rescue operations.

According to the Disaster Management Unit of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the incident was reported at approximately 10:18 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

The building, located at United Chambers near Shalimar Hotel, opposite Bharat Nagar on Maulana Shaukat Ali Road in Grant Road, is the collapse site. Initial reports suggest the possibility of injuries.
