Mumbai: Supervisor Absconds with Pomeranian Pet Dog in Vile Parle; Case Registered
In a shocking incident from Vile Parle, a supervisor allegedly fled after stealing a pet dog of the Pomeranian breed, which he had taken out for a walk. Following a complaint lodged by the pet owner, the Juhu Police have registered a case against the accused supervisor and initiated an investigation.
According to the complaint filed by a 29-year-old woman residing in the N.S. Road area of Vile Parle (West), she had adopted a Pomeranian dog named 'Prixie.' The housing society where the complainant resides had hired a private security agency named R-Corp to handle its security arrangements. As part of the services, supervisors appointed by the agency were also responsible for taking pet dogs out for walks two to three times a day.
On April 15, Rahul Das, a bouncer from the building, took Prixie from the complainant’s home and handed it over to security guard Rajiv Yadav, who then passed the dog to the supervisor, Rajendra Pandharkar (31), for the walk.
However, Pandharkar never returned with the dog. When attempts were made to contact him, it was discovered that his phone had been switched off and he had gone missing. Upon learning about the incident, the complainant informed the security agency, which revealed that Pandharkar had been involved in a financial dispute, and it was suspected that he had taken the dog due to this issue.
Subsequently, the complainant approached the Juhu Police Station and lodged a formal complaint against Pandharkar for the theft of the pet. Police are currently probing the matter further.
