Mumbai: Two women lost their lives on Friday night when a portion of a wall collapsed in a slum at Antop Hill, Wadala. The incident occurred at Panja Gully in Vijay Nagar at 9:27 PM.

According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials, a portion of the wall on the second and third floors of the structure partially collapsed, leaving some parts dangerously hanging. Swiftly responding rescue teams retrieved the bodies of the deceased women from the debris.

The victims, identified as Shobadevi Mourya, aged 45, and Zakirunissa Shaikh, aged 50, were rushed to Sion Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained.
