Mumbai Weather Update: Clear Skies and Warm Temperatures Predicted for Today

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that Mumbai would experience a pleasant day with clear skies and steadily rising temperatures. It is anticipated that the minimum temperature will be approximately 26 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature may be close to 30 degrees Celsius.

Throughout the day, the skies will generally be clear, and the city will be warm. According to forecasters, temperatures will gradually increase over the next few days, possibly peaking at 36 degrees Celsius by the end of the week.

Mumbai residents started their day at 7:02 AM when the sun rose, and it will set at 6:42 PM. The air will be somewhat dry but comfortable with humidity levels predicted to stay at 27%. Northerly winds are expected to blow at a constant 16 km/h.

A change in air pressure and cyclonic activity above Maharashtra has blocked cold northern winds, preventing any chilling effect from reaching the state, according to meteorologists. According to Manikrao Khule, a former officer in the Meteorological Department, this phenomena has caused a rise in the city's temperature.

It is anticipated that the city will have a moderate air quality index (AQI) of 134. Although this level is not dangerous, people who have respiratory issues need to take the appropriate safety measures.

Mumbai's temperature is expected to rise even more on February 24, reaching a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 36 degrees, according to the IMD. While the wind speed is predicted to slightly increase to 21 km/h from the north, the humidity is expected to stay at about 28%.
