Tiger Shroff Death Threat: Mumbai Police Arrest Man from Punjab for Threatening Bollywood Actor
A major stir was created after Mumbai Police's control room received a phone call claiming that a plan was in place to murder Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, along with details about a payment of Rs 2 lakh and provision of weapons for the crime. Acting swiftly on the alert, a team from Khar Police arrested the accused from Punjab.
The accused, identified as Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh (35), worked as a security guard. According to police officials, Singh was reportedly upset over his salary being deducted due to repeated absenteeism from work. In a fit of anger and revenge, he allegedly concocted the false story to implicate his seniors at the security firm and tarnish the company’s reputation.
The Mumbai Police control room had received the alarming phone call on Monday. During the preliminary investigation, it was found that Singh had falsely claimed that the branch head and an area officer of 'Trig' Security Services had provided money and weapons to eliminate the actor.
Based on the findings, Khar Police registered a case against Manish Kumar Singh under IPC Sections 353(2), 212, and 217 for spreading misinformation and attempting to incite public hatred. Following this, a police team tracked him down to Punjab and took him into custody.
The investigation further revealed that Singh had not only falsely implicated his company seniors but had also threatened the company owner by obtaining his mobile number and making intimidating calls. Singh’s frustration stemmed from salary deductions and his eventual dismissal due to habitual absenteeism.
Previously, the accused had been employed as a security guard at a restaurant in the Khar area of Mumbai. His familiarity with the locality and connections helped him weave a convincing but entirely fabricated story during the threatening phone call.
The police team escorting Singh is expected to bring him back to Mumbai, where further legal proceedings will be initiated, officials confirmed.
