Commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar has suspended 17 work shirker employees with immediate effect. For the first time in the history of city police so many employees have been suspended. This created panic in city police.
There are a large number of such workers in the city who are constantly missing from duty due to illness or other excuses. They become ill after getting any major assignment or new responsibility. With this excuse, they remain absent from duty for a long time. On many occasions, these employees do not even give authorised information of absence. Many of these workers are also addicted to alcohol and drugs. Top officials warn and leave them.
The functioning of the police department is affected due to work shirking personnel. Work culture is also affected. The police commissioner had warned the workers in the past that they should desist from their actions. Despite this, they have been suspended due to lack of improvement in their attitude.
Police personnel were initially happy to see the role of service and cooperation of the commissioner of police. The commissioner of police had helped in providing medicines and treatment to the police personnel promptly to protect them from Covid outbreak. After this, he made a place in the minds of police personnel by transferring them in their choice places.The latest action shows that the commissioner of police does not like work shirking employees and any kind of negligence in the duty.
