Nagpur, Oct 20

A special team formed to take action against those who break traffic rules, has taken action against 8,256 drivers in 10 days. Police commissioner Amitesh Kumar has taken traffic violation very seriously, and directed to take action against the drivers.

Referring to the fatal accidents, he instructed to take several strict steps including the use of helmets. After which special flying squads were constituted at all zones led by DCP Vikram Sali.

Flying squads have started operations from 10 October and action was taken against signal jumpers, without helmet users, triple seat riders, fancy number plate, driving recklessly etc.

Fine has been recovered from 8,256 in the last 10 days. Those who do not obey traffic rules, the department will recommend RTO to cancel their driving license. DCP Sali has urged citizens to cooperate with the police, saying that this campaign will continue.
