According to the coaches, Mankapur indoor stadium is under the control of government authorities and before the curbs implemented, the players were following the guidelines and restrictions. In view of the sphere and capacity of the stadium is more than 5,000 people which clearly demonstrate non-contact sports can be played in the non AC hall. Therefore the chances of contracting the virus with others are much lower compared to other activities.

They said many national ranked players, who practice in the indoor stadium are severely affected. They got only four months for practice in the last one and half years . As a result their performance is severely affected and can hit them in future tournaments if the stadium remains closed.

The coaches and trainers are completely dependent on the regular coaching sessions and due to lockdown their financial condition is also affected. There is no source of income for them other than coaching. The coaches have suggested to the authorities that the above 18 players should be allowed to enter the sports complex premises. They will be required to show the certificate of vaccination.

In view of the capacity, the stadium authority should ensure that Covid protocols should be strictly followed. The regular walking people should keep vaccination certificates with them to enter the stadium.

Talking to Lokmat Times coach Amit Raut and Ajay Dayal said, " The guardian minister Dr Nitin Raut has directed the municipal commissioner Radhakrishnan B to consider the request of coaches".
