Nagpur, May 9

There has been rampant black marketing of Remdesivir in the city, from the day the injection has been allowed to use for sever coronavirus infected patients.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has raided 14 locations since April 15 and seized 52 injections of Remdesivir. Cases have been registered in various police stations and 34 people have been arrested so far. This includes hospital ward boys, nurses and in some cases doctors. FDA inspectors along with Wadi police raided M/s Dhanvantari medical stores on April 22, as they were selling

ATP kits at inflated prices and that too without bill. The accused were arrested. A case was also registered at Wadi police station.

M/s Sachin medical stores where raided at Hinga, where the MTP kits were being sold at inflated prices and they were caught red handed. A case was registered with MIDC police station. M/s Ajay medical stores was raided at Indora Square, where banned drugs were bought and sold without bill.

FDA keeping strict vigil, action to continue

The directors of the three medical stores have been issued a show cause notices and strict action will be taken, once their written explanation comes to us and decision on their drug license will be taken after that. Meanwhile M/s Dhanvantari medical stores and M/s Ajay medical stores have been restricted from carrying out business till further orders.
