Fresh positive cases in city go below 500

The number of daily positive cases has come down to below 500 after about two months in Nagpur city.

This is a good sign as far as the controlling of the disease is concerned. On August 5, 467 fresh cases were found in Nagpur city. It indicates that infection is decreasing. But the number of deaths in not declining.

On Monday, 746 infected patients were detected in Nagpur district. This includes 493 from city, 245 from rural areas and 8 from out of the district while 36 patients died during treatment.

This includes 21 from city, 7 from rural areas and 8 from out of the district. With this the number of infected patients reached 82207 and the the total number of deaths reached 2659.

On Monday also the total number of recovered patients was more than the infected one.

Today, 965 patients recovered. With this 69342 patients have recovered so far. The rate of recovery has touched 84.35 per cent.

Among the infected patients recovered so far, 55765 were from city and 13577 were from rural areas. At present there are 7020 active patients in city and 3186 in rural areas.

395 positives

in private lab

Out of 1370 samples tested in private labs, 395 samples were positive. Among the 2233 samples tested in the rapid antigen test, 190 were positive. 39 samples tested positive in AIIMS lab, one in GMCH lab, 67 in Mayo lab, 19 in MAFSU lab and 35 in NEERI lab.

In the last 24 hours, 4848 samples were tested in the district. In this, 3782 were from the city, 1066 samples were from rural areas. A total of 4.79264 lakhs samples have been tested so far.
