Anti-encroachment squads of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) removed encroachments from the footpath of different areas under Gandhibagh, Dharampeth and Nehru Nagar zones on Monday.

22 encroachments were removed from Golibar Square to Mominpura Babbu Hotel via Timki Road under the Gandhi zone. During this time, three illegal sheds which came in front of three shopkeepers were demolished. A fine of Rs 16000 was charged by issuing challan on on the trespassers.

The second team removed 27 encroachments from Gokulpeth Market to Panchsheel Square, RTO Square to Law College Square, Ravi Nagar Square to Bharat Nagar Square, Akashvani Square to VCA Square under Dharampeth Zone. The third team removed 37 encroachments in Nandanvan from KDK College Square to Mangalmurti Square, Jaganade Square to Ganesh Nagar Square, Tiranga Square to Gajanan Square and Sakkardara Square. This action was taken by Sunil Bawne, Vishal Dhole, Atish Wasnik and the team led by deputy commissioner of enforcement department Mahesh Morone and superintendent of enforcement, Sanjay Kamble.
