Shiva Iyer, continuing his winning streak , once again triumphed in SN Shrivastava and Kalavatidevi Shrivastava Memorial Rapid Chess Tournament organised by Nagpur District Chess Association recently.

Shiva remained undefeated throughout the tournament and earned eight points. He was followed by Siddhant Gawai and Jay Sawalakhe for second and third place respectively.

Total 48 players participated in the eight round tournament. The time control gave all players 10 min and 5 sec increment to finish the game.

Top 12 players, top three veterans and top three girls received cash prizes. Total Prize money for the tournament was Rs 5000.

This tournament was conducted under the supervision of IA Pravin Pantawane and FA Umesh Panbude.

Final standings: 1. Shiva Iyer (8), Siddhant Gawai ( 6), 3. Jay Sawalakhe (6), 4. Chetan Deodhagale (6), 5 Shraddha Bajaj (6 ),

6 Dishank Bajaj ( 5.5), 7. Sanskar Gairore (5.5), 8. Krish Bawangade (5).

Best Veteran: T S Patil (5), Y M Shamkuwar (4), 3 S K Laha (4)

Best Girls: 1 Lakshita Rathod (4.5), 2 Shanaya Shelkar (3), 3 Pranavi Bhagat (3)
