BJP state president Chandrakant Patil and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis arrived in Nagpur after the budget session of the Assembly on Thursday. After landing at the airport, Chandrakant Patil and Devendra Fadnavis reached the RSS headquarters directly. It is learnt that they met Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, the meeting went on for around one and a half hour.

Along with Devendra Fadnavis and Chandrakant Patil, Bhaiyaji Joshi was also present at the meeting with Mohan Bhagwat. The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, has been kept top secret and no information has been received regrding the agenda of the meeting.

The budget session of the legislature did not result in anything. Most importantly, Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Maharashtra have been disappointed, Devendra Fadnavis told reporters at the airport. It is our responsibility to raise issues of public interest, just as it is the responsibility of newspapers. We talked about electricity, farmers, Covid. But they couldn't see issues of public interest, he added.
