Nagpur: Man Stabbed to Death in Public, Three Arrested; Disturbing Video Goes Viral

A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death in full public view in Maharashtra's Nagpur on Thursday night, April 4. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media. According to a senior police officer, three of the accused have been arrested, while two others are absconding.

A viral video shows two assailants repeatedly attacking a man lying on the road, covered in blood. The video was recorded by an eyewitness who witnessed the gruesome crime. In the footage, a woman can be heard urging others to call the police immediately, while the man recording the video mentions that the assailants are also armed with a gun.

Later, in the 1-minute and 10-second clip, the public can be seen capturing the assailants and beating them. However, it is reported that two of them managed to flee the scene after the crime.

The incident took place around 10.15 pm in the Zingabai Takli market area in New Mankapur when a group of around five assailants attacked Sohail Khan and stabbed him multiple times, an official told the news agency PTI. Further investigation in the matter is underway.

Rahul Madane, DCP Zone 2, Nagpur Police, says, "Last night around 10:00–10:15 PM, the incident took place on Thursday. One person was killed, and another was injured. The injured person is now out of danger and has been discharged..."
