The heat wave has returned to Nashik and surrounding areas, leaving citizens shocked and uncomfortable. After a short relief, temperatures have once again started rising. On Wednesday (April 16), the maximum temperature reached 39.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 20.8 degrees.
For the past few days, the daytime heat had reduced slightly. However, as the night temperatures are rising steadily, people are finding it difficult to sleep. The warm nights and hot days have led to increasing discomfort among residents.
From 12 noon to 4 pm, city roads wear a deserted look as people prefer to stay indoors to avoid the scorching sun. Doctors have warned that the second half of April could see further rise in temperature and have advised people to take necessary precautions to stay safe.
The rising heat has forced citizens to rely more on fans, air conditioners, and coolers. Cold drinks and other cooling options are also in high demand. The intense heat has sparked concerns about health issues like dehydration, heatstroke, and fatigue, especially among children, senior citizens, and outdoor workers.
Authorities are expected to issue updated advisories if the situation worsens. Meanwhile, citizens are urged to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight, and take extra care during peak afternoon hours.
