Heatwave in Nashik: Temperature Soars to Season-High at 38.7°C, Residents Brace for Scorching Summer
The city is reeling under an intense heatwave as temperatures soared to 38.7°C on Wednesday (12), the highest recorded so far this season. For the past three days, Nashik and its surrounding areas have been experiencing extreme heat, making daily life difficult for residents.
Over the past week, there has been a sudden rise in temperature, with the mercury jumping from 33°C to over 37°C in just a few days. Nashik, known for its usually pleasant climate, is now witnessing unseasonal scorching heat, leaving citizens worried about the upcoming summer months. Many fear that April and May will bring even more unbearable temperatures.
Adding to the discomfort, nighttime temperatures are also rising. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.4°C, making it difficult for people to find relief even after sunset. By noon, roads appeared deserted as the heatwave forced people indoors.
With temperatures soaring so early in March, residents are bracing for an even harsher summer. Health experts advise staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight, and taking precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses.
