A 22-year-old man, Shrikant Bhimrao Ubale, was kidnapped from a rickshaw in Nashik's Mhasrul area over suspicion of having an immoral relationship with a woman. The police believe he was taken to Savalghat in Karanjali near Peth, brutally beaten, strangled, and murdered. However, Shrikant is still missing.
Shrikant, originally from Parbhani district, worked as a caterer in the Gangaghat area for a man named Gaikwad. He went missing last week, and his father filed a complaint at the Mhasrul police station, leading to a kidnapping case being registered.
Following an investigation, a police team led by Senior Inspector Madhukar Kad from Panchvati police station tracked the suspects to Jintur in Parbhani district. On Monday (17th) morning, the police arrested Deepak Kakade (26) and Savita Kakade (45), both from Kalanagar, along with rickshaw driver Chandrakant Narayan Kulkarni and Rahul Shelke from Gauri Patangan Gangaghat. They were handed over to the Mhasrul police.
Since the case was filed at Mhasrul police station, all four accused were formally arrested and presented in court. The court has remanded them to seven days of police custody for further investigation.
