A former plant head of a company in Satpur Industrial Estate has been booked for threatening the company’s female director and demanding ₹50 lakh to settle the matter. The accused, identified as Balasaheb Dattatray Bhor (50) from Panchavati, was dismissed from his position in 2017 for alleged misconduct and financial irregularities.
According to the complaint filed at Sarkarwada Police Station, the 56-year-old victim stated that after her husband’s demise in 2011, Bhor was entrusted with managing the company’s operations. However, when the victim and her daughter took charge in 2017, they discovered fraudulent activities and mismanagement by Bhor. As a result, he was removed from his position.
Following his dismissal, Bhor allegedly filed multiple false complaints against the company owners and extorted money from them. Despite receiving a written settlement, he continued harassing them. Due to the constant pressure, the victim shut down the company in 2019 and moved to another state. However, Bhor persisted in lodging false complaints.
Recently, when the victim returned to Nashik to inspect the company premises, Bhor confronted her and the employees, using abusive language and issuing threats. On February 15, he allegedly threatened to rape the victim and her daughter if they did not pay ₹50 lakh. He also warned that he would continue to file false cases against them if his demands were not met.
Fearing for their safety, the victim approached Sarkarwada Police Station and lodged a formal complaint. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter further.
