A brutal double murder has once again shaken Nashik. Two brothers, Umesh Jadhav and Prashant Jadhav, were stabbed to death late Wednesday night in Ambedkarwadi, of Nashik. Umesh Jadhav was the city vice-president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) faction led by Ajit Pawar.
The attack took place around 11:30 PM, near a public toilet in the Ambedkarwadi area, close to the Pune highway. The assailants, armed with sharp weapons, fatally stabbed the brothers before fleeing the scene. Locals rushed the injured brothers to the district government hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival due to excessive bleeding.
The incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the area. A large crowd gathered at the hospital following the news of the murders. The Nashik Suburban Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Teams have been deployed to track down the attackers.
Given Umesh Jadhav’s political background, speculation is rising about whether the attack was motivated by political rivalry. However, the exact reason behind the murder remains unknown. The police are exploring all angles and are expected to reveal further details soon.
Nashik has been witnessing a series of violent crimes, including murders and clashes, in recent days. This double murder has intensified concerns over law and order in the city.
