The recent scorching heatwave in Nashik has shown signs of easing over the past few days, although nighttime temperatures are on the rise. Minimum temperatures have climbed steadily, now reaching 21.2 degrees Celsius compared to a previous low of 16 degrees Celsius.
Just four days ago, the maximum temperature soared to 38.7 degrees Celsius across Nashik and its surrounding areas. However, on Sunday, it moderated to 36.1 degrees Celsius as intermittent clouds provided some relief around noon, reducing the overall heat intensity. Despite this daytime respite, nighttime temperatures have escalated, leading citizens to experience discomfort and increased perspiration.
The uptick in nighttime heat has prompted a surge in the use of fans and air conditioners in households, particularly in areas facing intermittent power outages due to technical issues. As maximum temperatures fluctuate, the upward trend in minimum temperatures underscores a continuing challenge for residents.
The situation remains dynamic as Nashik adapts to these temperature fluctuations, with residents adjusting to varying conditions throughout the day and night.
