Nashik: Luxury Cars, Cash Seized in Igatpuri Gambling Racket Bust; 19 Arrested

In a midnight police raid, a gambling racket was busted at New York Villa in the Mystic Valley area of Talegaon Shivara, Igatpuri. The police seized ₹18.79 lakh in cash along with luxury cars, including a BMW worth crores. Nineteen people have been arrested in this case, including the villa owner and a driver.

The Nashik Rural Police, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Vikram Deshmane and Additional SP Aditya Mirkhelkar, acted on a tip-off about illegal gambling at New York Villa. Around 12:30 AM on February 14, a team led by Police Inspector Rahul Tasare raided the villa and found people gambling and consuming expensive foreign liquor.

During the search, officers seized ₹18.79 lakh in cash from the gamblers, luxury cars including a BMW, gambling materials, and Nepalese currency notes. A case has been registered at Igatpuri Police Station under the Mumbai Liquor Prohibition and Gambling Act. Assistant Police Inspector Pushpa Chandrabhan Arane has filed a complaint in this regard.

Among the 19 accused, several are linked to the film industry as music directors and directors. The arrested individuals include Datta Kisan Navale (42) from Pathardi Phata, Nashik; Mahadev Gulabrao Khawane (38) from Khutwadnagar, CIDCO, Nashik; Shreyas Satish Srivastava (50) from Mira Road, Mumbai; Dinkar Yogeshwar Kapur (67) from Vasai, Mumbai; Amin Chandrawar (50) from Mira Road, Mumbai; Hitesh Bhiku Tanawade (47) from Kandivali East, Mumbai; Anand Prakash Saroj (25) from Hanumannagar, Thane; Avinash Ramesh Sepoy (27) from Waghli, Thane; Shivaji Suryabhan Mandare (42) from Pawan Nagar, Nashik; Atul Chandrakant Rawal (35) from Shilpata, Thane; Santosh Rambhau Mule (29) from Trimurti Chowk, Nashik; Amar Bahadur Tandon (57) from Nepal; Satish Ramchandra Pade (31) from Dombivli, Thane; Abhishek Laxmikant Kashyap (23) from Itarsi, Uttar Pradesh; Rajesh Ganesh Jiwani (36) from Dwarka, Nashik; Kalpesh Ramjibhai Gojria (32) from Gaikwad Nagar, Igatpuri; Yash Kumar Sherasing alias Bhagat Singh (55) from Santacruz West, Mumbai; Suresh Kalu Sadgir (32) from Gaikwad Nagar, Igatpuri; and Shakti Dholakia, owner of New York Villa, from Santacruz West, Mumbai.

This high-profile gambling case is being investigated further under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Vikram Deshmane and Additional SP Aditya Mirkhelkar. Police Inspector Rahul Tasare is leading the probe. The authorities suspect that more people could be involved, and further action may be taken soon. This crackdown is part of the police’s efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.
