Nashik Traffic Update: Police Issues Advisory for Mahashivratri 2025; Check Restrictions and Alternative Routes
In anticipation of the large influx of devotees for Maha Shivratri, significant traffic changes will be implemented in Nashik on Wednesday, February 26. The traffic around Sri Kapaleshwar Temple in Ramkund area will be affected as follows:
Closure Details: Vehicles will not be allowed to enter Ramkund area from 5 am to 12 pm on Wednesday. This includes handcarts, bullock carts, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, and other vehicles.
Alternative Routes: Processions will proceed through Sri Kapaleshwar Temple, Panchavati Karanja, Dhikale Library, and Saddar Chowk-Kalaram Temple to manage traffic flow and avoid congestion.
Closed Routes: Traffic closures will be enforced from Dhikle Public Library to Kapaleshwar Temple, Malegaon Stand to Shree Kapaleshwar Temple, Sardar Chowk to Kapaleshwar Temple, Gadge Maharaj Bridge to Shree Kapaleshwar Temple, Maharashtra Iron Works to Khandwe Hall, and Malviya Chowk to Khandwe Hall throughout the day.
These measures are aimed at ensuring smooth movement during the religious festivities. Commuters are advised to plan alternative routes and allow for extra travel time.
