The Nashik Zilla Parishad is facing scrutiny for issues similar to the Pooja Khedkar scandal, involving allegations of fake disability certificates used to secure government jobs. The controversy centres on 69 officers and employees who have failed to submit their disability certificates, known as UDID cards, raising concerns of a potential scam. Out of 78 employees, only 9 have completed the disability certificate verification, leaving 69 without their UDID cards. The state is currently investigating the case of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, while the Nashik Zilla Parishad grapples with its own challenges.

Despite repeated notices, only 9 of the 78 employees across various departments, including General Administration, Health, Gram Panchayat, Teachers, and Women and Child Development, have provided their UDID cards. The education department has the highest number of non-compliant employees.

In March, Zilla Parishad CEO Ashima Mittal launched a verification process for disability certificates following a surge in complaints. However, in the past month, only nine employees have submitted their UDID cards. Despite numerous notices and extended deadlines, 69 employees remain non-compliant.

The Zilla Parishad administration is now considering stringent measures, including revoking benefits and concessions for those who fail to comply. The community is closely monitoring the situation to see if the administration will implement significant actions or continue issuing notices.
