33-year-old UP man with no travel history tested positive for coronavirus in new case of community transmission
A 33-year-old man of Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district has been tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday. The man doesn't have any travel history, this makes it a confirmed case of COVID-19 contact transmission. Earlier, a 45-year-old woman who had returned from Mecca along with a group of 37 people, tested positive in Pilibhit.
India has been put under complete lockdown for 21 days starting today. All public transport have been banned while any kind of non-essential movement outside the house has also been prohibited. Prime Minister Modi made the big announcement on Tuesday night and said that this is the only way India can fight coronavirus. Meanwhile, the coronavirus death toll in India has gone up to 11 with the death of a man in Tamil Nadu.
