6 Years Of PM KISAN Scheme: 19th Instalment of Rs. 2000 to Be Released on February 24 for Farmers

The central government will credit an amount of Rs. 2000 each in the farmers account on February 24 as it plans to release the 19th instalment of the PM KISAN Scheme. The instalment will be released during PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhagalpur, Bihar. For six years this scheme has played a vital role in improving farmers' financial stability. The initiative has brought agricultural stability.

This scheme was launched on February 24, 2019. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance of Rs. 6000 per year to the farmer households. An amount of Rs. 2000 is credited into the account of farmers every four months. In the 18 instalments Rs. 3.46 lakh crore have been transferred to 11 crore farmers across India.

The funds are credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries and under the guidelines of the scheme, the government decides who is eligible to receive the benefits of this scheme.

As per the guidelines, the farmer household should consist of farmer, wife, and minor children only. The farmers should complete their eKYC verification for instalments to be credited into their accounts.

Payment Process:

Registered beneficiaries receive their financial aid directly into their bank accounts under PM-KISAN. Farmers must finish the eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process in order to keep getting rewards. eKYC can be completed in three ways:

  1. OTP-based eKYC (using the mobile app and PM-Kisan portal)
  2. Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs) offer biometric-based eKYC.
  3. eKYC using facial recognition (via the PM-Kisan Mobile App)

 

How Can You Check Your Beneficiary Status?

1. Visit PM KISAN Website.
2. Click on the Beneficiary Status option.
3. Enter your Aadhar Number or Bank Account Number.
4. Click on Get Data to check the payment status.

Farmers who no longer want to avail benefits of this scheme can voluntarily surrender their benefits. Once they surrender they cannot reapply for this scheme.
