After black an white fungus, yellow fungus case reported in India

Amid the second wave of Covid-19, healthcare personnel in India have been trying to do their best under trying circumstances. The second wave of coronavirus has put a huge strain on the country's health system. Lack of oxygen, shortage of Remdesivir injections, struggle of relatives to get beds for the patients all these issues have crippled the health system 

Amid the pandemic, a yellow fungus patient has now been found in the country while battling black and white fungus disease and experts say it is more dangerous.

However, the trajectory of declining fresh coronavirus infections continues further with 2,22,315 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours. As many as 2,40,842 fresh infections were reported on Sunday and 2,76,070 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the country recorded 3,02,544 fresh recoveries in the last 24 hours, outnumbering new cases. The cumulative caseload in India now stands 2,67,52,447 at including 27,20,716 active cases. The death toll mounted to 3,03,720, while the recovery tally reached 2,37,28,011.

While the number of black fungus patients was increasing, a yellow fungus patient was found in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday and the fungus is said to be more deadly. The yellow fungus patient is currently undergoing treatment.

What are the symptoms? (Symptoms of Yellow Fungus) 

• Loss of appetite or no appetite, weight loss, lethargy
• Sweating and slow healing of wounds, malnutrition, organ failure, conjunctivitis 
• If such symptoms appear, immediate treatment is required.

Cause of yellow fungus

• Uncleanliness is the main reason.
• So it is important to maintain cleanliness. Don't eat stale food.
• Home Humidity also plays important role. Therefore, more humid climate also increases the risk of fungus.
