Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat visited actor Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty on Tuesday morning. Bhagwat reached  Mithun's bungalow in Madh area of Mumbai early morning.

With the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections, the special meeting between Mohan Bhagwat and Mithun Chakraborty ahead of the polls is being discussed in the political circles. With this visit, the discussion of Chakraborty's BJP entry has also started once again.

In 2019, Mithun Chakraborty visited the RSS headquarters in Nagpur. He also met Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. Mithun Chakraborty is a former Rajya Sabha member and was long associated with the ruling Trinamool Congress. However, he resigned from the Rajya Sabha within 20 months as he was absent from the House. Since then, he has stayed away from politics. 

Mithun Chakraborty, a Bengali actor, is a popular star with a massive fan following.
