Five Rafale Fighter Jets reaching India after covering a distance of 7,000 km from France will join the Indian Air Force on July 29. These fighter jets are ready to be kept at Ambala Airbase. Ambala Airbase is being prepared from now on to welcome Raphael. Security at Ambala Airbase has been tightened ahead of Raphael's arrival in India. On the other hand, a 'No Drone Zone' has been declared within a radius of 3 km of Ambala Airbase. Drones have been banned altogether within a three-kilometer radius of the airbase.

Action will be taken against anyone who violates it."We are proud to be deployed at Raphael's Ambala Airbase," said Ram Kumar, DSP, Ambala Camp. We have already drafted a number of rules for Raphael's safety. Anyone violating these rules will be dealt with severely. Notably, the biggest reason behind the deployment of Raphael in Ambala is that the distance from the Chinese border to Ambala airbase is 300 kilometers. Following the signing of the Rafale fighter jet agreement between India and France in 2016, 5 Rafalees are now set to land on Indian soil on Wednesday.
