Amit Shah: Citizenship of any minority will not be taken away through CAA
Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Bhubaneswar on Friday said," Why is opposition lying about Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)? I here again repeat that citizenship of any Muslim or minority will not be taken away through CAA, because it is an Act to give citizenship not to take it away."
"BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), SP (Sawajwadi Party), Communist, Congress and Mamata Banerjee are against the CAA because they say minorities will lose their citizenship. Why are they lying? CAA is a law to give citizenship, it is not meant to take anyone's citizenship away," Mr Shah said at a rally in Bhubaneswar.
