1. Never skip the primer before applying the foundation. The primer makes your makeup stay longer and makes it easy for the foundation to glide on the skin. Always apply a compact on top of the foundation to set it perfectly.

2. A neutral eyeshadow palette works well for all occasions - festive or wedding. Apply a neutral colour on the eyelid, in tones of brown, beige. The texture may be shimmer or matte. Do blending with the dark colour eyeshadow on the crease to get more depth.

3. With a black or brown eye pencil, draw a line close to the lashes and smoke it out towards the end.

4. Apply kajal in the waterline and smoke that too to give a soft effect. Use a bold volume mascara to add extra glamour to the eyes.

5. Grooming the eyebrows is a very important part of makeup, which we avoid. Use a brow pencil to shape the brows.

6. Use a bronzer to contour your cheekbones blending it with a soft brush, applied on the apples of the cheeks.

7. Add some shimmer to make your face glow with a highlighter on all the high points of the face - brow bone, cheek bone, bridge of nose, centre of chin, forehead and the cupid of the lip.

8. Apply a bold lip colour to complement the nude smokey eye this festive season.

9. Define your lips well with a lip liner and fill it with a liquid matte or creamy lipstick.

10. A good hydrating makeup fixing spray at the end of the makeup adds freshness and settles the makeup.
