Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his family performed a Havan at their new residence at Bungalow No. 5 on Feroz Shah Road on Friday. Kejriwal has vacated his previous residence at 6 Flagstaff Road and relocated to the new address near Mandi House in Delhi's Lutyens' Zone.

The bungalow is located close to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headquarters on Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane (Canning Lane). Although Kejriwal considered the official bungalow of MP N.D. Gupta at 10 Feroz Shah Road, he ultimately chose the residence of party MP Ashok Mittal, a Rajya Sabha member from Punjab.
Kejriwal had announced his intention to vacate the chief minister's residence during the auspicious Navratri period, which began on Thursday. The AAP had requested the central government to provide Kejriwal with an official residence, citing his position as the head of a national party.
Last month, Kejriwal stepped down from his position as chief minister, stating he would only resume the post after receiving a "certificate of honesty" from the people of Delhi in the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for February. The BJP has accused him of corruption related to the excise policy and the reconstruction of the chief minister's bungalow.
Kejriwal was released from Tihar Jail on September 13 after spending five months in custody on a Supreme Court-approved bail.
