Assembly Elections 2023 Results: BJP outclass Congress to win 3-1 in MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh

The stage is set for counting of votes in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. The counting date for the Mizoram assembly elections has been changed by the Election Commission from December 3 to December 4. The assembly elections in the five states were held from November 7, 2023 to November 30, 2023. The counting of votes in all four states will begin at 8 am today with postal ballots being counted first after which the votes from the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be counted. Five exit polls have predicted a tight fight between the two national parties with the Congress inching ahead. Stay tuned with us for all the election updates.

Assembly Election Results 2023: BJP takes early lead in Rajasthan

Bharatiya Janata Party has taken an early lead on 12 seats of Rajasthan in the postal ballot counting. The Congress is currently leading on nine seats. The counting of votes polled in Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023 has started to declare results of all 199 seats in Rajasthan that went to polls. Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, Rajendra Rathore, said the BJP will form the government in Rajasthan with a "massive mandate".

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday said that the outcome of the Assembly elections in four states will not have any impact on the I.N.D.I.A. alliance, comprising over 25 opposition parties led by the Congress. Pawar said that people must accept that the current trends are in favour of the BJP and that it is too early to say anything about Telangana, where the BRS is trailing the Congress.
