Ayodhya: Ram Darbar To Open on June 6 After 18 Idols of the Deity Are Installed at Ram Mandir

Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir will have a grand Ram Darbar on the first floor. Idols of the deity will be installed at the Darbar on May 23. A three-day ceremony will be held to install 18 more idols in the temple. A ceremonial puja will be performed on June 5. Ram Darbar will open for all devotees on June 6. Speaking with TOI, Nripendra Mishra, Ram Temple Construction Committee Chairman, said that these dates, May 23 and June 5, have a great auspicious planetary alignment. Therefore, these dates were chosen for Idol Installation and Puja.

Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir was opened in 2024 for all the devotees by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The idol installed then represents the childhood days of Lord Ram. Now, the idol of King Ram would be installed on the first floor. This idol will be five feet tall, built with white marble. The idol is being made by sculptors based in Jaipur. The Ram Darbar will also feature idols of Goddess Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrugan, and Hanuman. Seven more temples will be ready by June 6 at the Ram Mandir. Temple Trust’s General Secretary, Champat Rai, said that the idols will leave from Jaipur to Ayodhya on April 15. Once they reach Ayodhya, they will be placed at their designated locations. Larsen & Toubro will take charge of installing 18 idols, reported TOI.
