Holi, the joyous festival of colors celebrated across India in various forms, falls on March 13th and 14th this year. Millions will celebrate with enthusiasm. Due to Holi, banks will be closed in several states. So, complete any urgent bank work beforehand to avoid inconvenience.

This year Holi is being celebrated on different days in different states in India. Due to this, banks will also remain closed on different days in different states.
Bank Holidays due to Holi:
In Maharashtra, banks will likely be closed on March 14, 2025 (Friday) due to Holi (Dhuleti/Dhulandi/Dol Jatra). You may also have a four-day bank holiday, as March 13th will be a working day, followed by the weekend (15th and 16th)
March 13: Holika Dahan will be celebrated on this day, due to which banks will remain closed in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Jharkhand. However, banks will remain open in other states.
March 14: Banks will remain closed in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Odisha, Manipur and Kerala on this day. Banks will remain operational in the remaining states.
March 15: Holi will also be celebrated in many states on this day. All private and government banks in Tripura, Odisha, Manipur and Bihar will remain closed. Apart from this, as it is the third Saturday, there will be a bank holiday in other states as well.

March 22: All private and government banks in Bihar will remain closed on the occasion of Bihar Day.
March 27: Banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr.
March 28: All banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed due to Jumma-tul-Vida.
March 31: Banks will remain closed in many states on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, although banks will remain open in Himachal Pradesh and Mizoram.
