Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on Monday postponed Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination paper-1 that was scheduled to be held tomorrow when the farmers have called for 'Bharat Bandh'. The exam now has been scheduled to 13th December due to 'unavoidable circumstances'.

The institute while making the announcement said the exams will be held on the same venue and timings i.e. 2 pm to 5 pm (IST).

The admit cards that have been already issued to the candidates will remain valid for the rescheduled date. The candidates appearing for the exams have been advised to stay in touch with the website of the institute www.icai.org.

Thousands of farmers are sitting on various borders of New Delhi since November 26 against the laws and have called for a ''Bharat Bandh'' on December 8.

Farmers are protesting against the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
