Bharuch Factory Fire: Massive Blaze Erupts at Neogen Chemicals in Gujarat (Watch)
A massive fire broke out at Neogen Chemicals in Dehej SEZ-2, Bharuch district of Gujarat, late on Tuesday night, March 5, completely gutting the plant and warehouse. The fire started at around 12:30 am in the MPP-3 plant of 3-methylphosphenico-propionic acid located in Dahej SEZ-2.
Due to the flammable chemicals and acids present in the plant, the fire quickly escalated. The flames were visible from a distance, creating an atmosphere of fear and chaos in the area. Upon receiving the fire report, teams from the Bharuch district fire brigade, along with firefighters from other companies in Dahej, rushed to the scene.

The fire caused panic in the surrounding areas and nearby villages. The blaze completely engulfed the MPP-3 plant and warehouse. After approximately 5 to 5.5 hours of hard work, 16 fire vehicles were able to bring the fire under control by Wednesday morning.
Ashutosh Mereya, an official from the Bharuch-based Board of Industrial Safety and Health Directorate (DISH), confirmed that 128 employees were on duty at the time of the fire. Fortunately, all employees managed to leave the company safely, and no injuries were reported. The DISH team has now joined the investigation into the cause of the fire.
