Big News! COVID-19: 3rd phase of vaccine drive for citizens above 45 years of age to begin from 1st April
The third phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive for citizens above 45 years of age is all et to begin from April 1, said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday. We request that all eligible should immediately register and get vaccinated, said the minister.
The second phase vaccination drive began for senior citizens aged 60 years and above, and those in the age group of 45 to 59 years with comorbidities on March 1.
In the first phase of the vaccination drive which began on January 16, several beneficiaries comprising healthcare workers and frontline warriors have already been vaccinated.
The eligible beneficiaries who are entitled to receive the Covid-19 vaccine from April 1, should register themselves on the Co-WIN platform. The Central government has created the Co-WIN application dedicated to monitor real-time management of Covid-19 vaccination across the country.
