Bihar CM holds meeting with medical experts on AES

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday held a special meeting with medical experts from the state hospital and colleges regarding Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday held a special meeting with medical experts from the state hospital and colleges regarding Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

Doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (IGIMS), Patna Medical College (PMCH), Nalanda Medical College (NMCH), SK Medical college (SKMCH) were present at the meeting.

Nitish Kumar asked allopathic experts to mull over the suggestions and study the advice given by Ayurvedic doctors on AES. He also asked the doctors to study the side effects of these medicines.

The Chief Minister directed the doctors to do a study on the reason behind AES and prepare a report.

The government will take further steps after the report from the survey, which is being conducted in the state, comes back.

Under the Jeevika scheme, the government is spreading awareness about AES. A cleanliness drive is also underway in which toilets are being built in the houses. and to provide clean drinking water, the government is providing taps in every household.

Further steps to control AES in the state will be taken after the doctors submit the report.

State Health Minister Mangal Pandey along with other medical experts was also present in the present.
