Bihar government to give condoms after completion of 14 day quarantine period to spread awareness about family planning

Amidst the rising number of cases in the country, Bihar government has been trying to raise awareness about the family welfare and planning in the state. According to a report in Navbharat Times, an initiative has been initiated by the Health Department in Gopalganj district to promote the family planning program. According to Gopalganj DPM Dhiraj Kumar, migrants who have completed the 14-day quarantine period will be given condoms. The programme is to raise awareness among the labourers about family planning with essential items. Meanwhile, door-to-door health examination will be done through polio campaign supervisors.

Polio supervisors are being trained in this regard and during the training itself, a condom box has been made available to the supervisors, who will distribute it among the migrants during door-to-door investigation. Migrants coming from Surat, Ahmedabad, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Faridabad, Kolkata, Bangalore will be placed in the quarantine center. On the other hand, migrants from other states except these places will be kept in home quarantine for 14 days. Migrants will be subjected to home quarantine and they will be tested daily for 14 days.  Moreover, posters of home quarantine will be pasted outside their houses along with home quarantine pamphlets.
