A speeding claimed a woman in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur on Monday morning, April 14. The accident occurred when a vehicle struck two women who were walking along the roadside. The car was moving so fast that after hitting the woman, it crashed into a parked truck. One woman died on the spot, while the other is in critical condition and has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 6.30 am on Monday. A high-speed car was coming from the direction of the Sai Temple in the Civil Lines area of the Bilaspur district, hit two women who were out for a morning walk, and the other, identified as Anju Tandon, was on her way to work as a housekeeper at Magneto Mall. Anju Tandon suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.

The driver fled the scene after the accident. Locals promptly informed the police and called an ambulance to rush the injured woman to the hospital. The Civil Lines police are now trying to identify the car owner through its registration number. The condition of the injured woman admitted to SIMS Hospital remains critical.
