With the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections not far and coronavirus pandemic still looming over the country, the political parties are gearing up and adjusting their electoral strategies accordingly.

Ahead of the elections, Congress leader Jitin Prasada joined BJP. Prasada's departure is a fresh blow to the Congress party after another heavyweight leader of the party Jyotiraditya Scindia had joined the BJP in March 2020. Prasad, who was considered close to Rahul Gandhi, has said goodbye to the party, which has only increased the problems of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh.

In addition, now a key Congress leader in Rajasthan and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is also likely to leave the party. Rita Bahuguna Joshi, who has been in the Congress for 25 years and later became a BJP supporter, has made such a claim.

Sachin Pilot will soon join the BJP, claimed Rita Bahuguna Joshi during a discussion on Hindi news channel 'Aaj Tak'.'Pilots will join BJP soon. I have to talk to them on the phone, 'said Rita. She further said that the Congress party has now come to an end in North India. Sachin Pilot is understood to be upset with the Congress. A few months ago, he openly expressed his displeasure. The promises made to Pilot have not been fulfilled yet.
