During the second covid wave many people lost their loved ones. The second wave of Covid killed more than 200,000 people. When the second wave was at its peak, there was a grim picture of people queuing up to cremate the bodies at the cemetery, Kabristan. During the same period, a large number of bodies were found floating in the river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.All of these deaths were suspected to have been caused by the corona. The video of covid dead body being thrown into the river also went viral on social media. The video and photo sparked a discussion about the covid infection in the river Ganga. But now a new research has emerged. The report claims that there is no trace of coronavirus in the water of the river Ganga.

The bodies were found in the river in some districts of the state. This research has revealed that there is no component of coronavirus in the water of river Ganga. People were informed about this on Wednesday. The research was jointly conducted by the National Clean Ganga Mission, Scientific and Industrial Council under the Ministry of Water Resources, Indian Institute of Toxicology and Central Pollution Control Board, State Pollution Control Board.

According to sources, the research was conducted in two phases. Water samples were taken from Kannauj, Unnao, Hamirpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ballia, Buxar, Ghazipur, Patna and Chapra. A large number of bodies were found floating in the river here. The combined samples of this water were examined and no SARS COV 2 components were found in it. In virological research, the RNA of the virus was extracted from a water sample. So that aquatic viral RTPCR can be tested. This report will help dispel doubts in people's minds.
